Pharmacy Technician Certification & Training
The eligibility criterion for becoming a pharmacy technician varies from state to state within the country. For the state of Montana the requirement is that the person should be minimum 18 years of age, not committed a felony, should hold a high school diploma and pay a fee of $60.
A person can only perform the tasks of a pharmacy technician after receiving appropriate training under a licensed pharmacist. The supervising pharmacist should provide training related to the technician, maintain a written record of the name, signature and dates of training of the technician. The training should include on the job practical experience as well. The training will be concluded with a test or may be approved by The National Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Additionally ExCPT is approved by the state.
