Pharmacy Technician Certification & Training
It is mandatory that the pharmacy technician candidate should be minimum 18 years of age, should not have committed a felony, should hold a high school diploma and pay the applicable fee. Additionally they should be proficient in English Language. Completion of a recognized training program is required and the ExCPT is approved by the state board as well.
Training is only to be provided when the ratio has exceeded 2:1 as has been set by the state board. The technician to pharmacist ratio is set at 2:1 but can be exceeded by a special petition to the board by the pharmacy.
