Pharmacy Technician Certification & Training

The eligibility criterion for becoming a pharmacy technician in New Mexico is that the applicant must complete training within one year, should obtain certification approved by the board and submit an application fee of $30. Certification is required and the board approves ExCPT.

Training is to be completed within a year by the applicant and the supervising pharmacist is responsible for maintaining all the records. Additionally the training can be on the job training for 220 hours or one that is approved by the board but also needs to be completed one year from the date of registration. Additionally ExCPT is approved by the state.
