Pharmacy Technician Certification & Training
Certification varies from state to state within the US.For the state of Virginia this is a twofold process. The applicant has to submit an application for registration to the state along with evidence of completion of training from a board certified program. They must also provide records of the score obtained by them during training from a program approved by the board.
Training needs to be certified by PTCb and it should be a program approved by the state board. The National Pharmacy Technician Program is approved by the state. Furthermore the technician-pharmacist ratio is 4:1 of which only 2 can be technicians in training. EXCPT is approved by the board for certification.
