The eligibility criteria include that the person should be minimum 18 years old, hold a high school diploma and should submit a fee of $25 to the board. Additionally the applicant must complete a board approved technician training program.
Certification is completely voluntary. ExCPT exam is approved by the board .
Training is a compulsory criterion. The applicant must complete a board approved training program. The National Technician Training Program is approved by the board. The ratio is 4:1.
